Lance C. Smith, MD

Board-Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon

I practice orthopedic spine surgery in Oklahoma City and care for patients across Oklahoma and surrounding states through our Spine Care & Surgery program. No two patients - and no two spines - are alike, which is why every treatment plan is individualized.

Seeing a spine specialist can feel intimidating. My goal is to create an environment where you feel heard, informed, and confident. Together, we develop a clear plan - surgical or non-surgical - designed to restore function and help you return to the life you value.

As a board-certified spine surgeon with advanced fellowship training and active involvement in implant development and surgical innovation, I remain committed to delivering care that combines precision, experience, and measurable outcomes.

Personal Background

I was raised in rural Missouri, and my desire to serve others was inspired early on by my grandfather, who was a pharmacist in our small town. Watching the impact he had on people’s lives shaped me deeply. From a young age, I felt called to serve using the gifts God has given me and to leave a positive mark on those around me.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors to recharge. I deer hunt with friends and family at my ranch here in Oklahoma, hunt big game out west, grow and harvest crops on my farm, and travel with my family whenever we can.

My wife, Kristen, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children who bring tremendous joy to our lives. As a family, we are passionate about serving our community and supporting nonprofit organizations such as Wings, OKCity Crisis Nursery, and Pivot. We feel deeply blessed, and I consider it a privilege to live out my faith by serving others and giving back to my Savior.

Shannon Haddock, PA-C

Shannon Haddock, PA-C, is an experienced physician assistant with a background in sports medicine and spine-focused care. He brings a practical, function-driven approach to evaluating and managing musculoskeletal conditions, with an emphasis on helping patients restore mobility and improve quality of life.

With a foundation in athletic training and clinical medicine, Shannon combines hands-on experience with a disciplined, evidence-based approach to patient care. He works closely with the clinical team to support accurate diagnosis, conservative treatment strategies, and appropriate care pathways tailored to each patient.

Personal Background

I was raised in a small town in southwest Missouri, where I developed a strong love for sports and the outdoors. My father was a carpenter and my mother worked in a factory, and from them I learned the value of hard work, integrity, and staying grounded.

I married my high school sweetheart, and together we are raising a wonderful daughter who is the light of our lives. Our faith in God guides our family and sustains us through every season of life.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active, and maintaining a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Personal Background

I was born into a military family and spent much of my childhood growing up in Lawton, Oklahoma. Being raised in that environment shaped my values of service, discipline, and commitment to others.

I enlisted in the United States Army and served as a Combat Medic. Over the course of my military career, I served more than 21 years in the Oklahoma Army National Guard and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Faith, family, and personal health are central to my life. My wife, Lauren, and I are proud parents of two daughters, and I take great pride in the life we have built together.

Nate Harris, RN, APRN-CNP

Nurse Practitioner

Nate Harris is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a clinical background spanning emergency medical services, critical care, and surgical settings. His experience includes emergency medicine, ICU care, and operating room support with a focus on orthopedic and spine procedures. This broad clinical exposure allows him to understand spine conditions from the initial injury through treatment and recovery.

Nate works closely with patients and the clinical team to ensure concerns are heard, questions are answered, and treatment plans are understood.
