Joseph Hoskins, PA-C

Physician Assistant - Spine

I was born into a military family and spent most of my childhood growing up in Lawton, OK.  I developed my passion for medicine and caring for others after enlisting in the Army and becoming a Combat Medic. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Following my undergraduate studies, I earned a commission into the United States Army and completed another Bachelor of Science degree, as well a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree, from the University of Nebraska.

I spent 5+ years practicing Orthopedic Sports Medicine prior to changing my area of focus to spine care and joining Dr. Smith.   I work closely with Dr. Smith to individualize treatment plans for each patient. I see patients in the clinic and assist Dr. Smith in surgery. My goal is to make all patients feel comfortable and confident with their care whether it is surgical or non-surgical. I believe that education along with treating patients as if they are family is what sets our team apart from others.

I currently serve as a Major in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. I pride myself on my family, health, and my faith. I have an amazing wife, Lauren, and two beautiful daughters.
